2019 Patrons Gala

Saturday, March 2, 2019

6:00 PM Rose Hill Conference Center

Proceeds from this year’s Gala will support the Nash Health Care Foundation’s Endowment Fund, which has been created to help support our community’s health and wellness initiatives.

The endowed fund represents money set aside, in perpetuity, in which the principle is invested and a small portion of the fund's balance is paid out, usually on an annual basis.

The Foundation’s fundraising efforts can best serve the needs of the hospital clinical service lines and the community by focusing on programs that support community health, including assisting patients who have financial hardships as a result of medical issues or for designated purposes such as scholarships, projects, programs, or any aspect of its charitable work.

Currently, Foundation Cancer Patient Assistance Funds are used to help support awareness, preventative care, and treatment plans of breast cancer. The Fund also helps our cancer patients with the financial hardships of receiving treatment, including assistance with copays for medications, nutritional supplements, gas cards and cab vouchers for transportation to and from treatment and Lymphedema therapy. The funds support programmatic needs at the Women’s Center and Special Care Nursery, Pediatric Emergency Department, Bryant T. Aldridge Rehabilitation Center, and Hospice and Palliative Care of Nash General Hospital.

In future years, as the Endowment grows, assistance will help offset patient expenses that are not covered by insurance and ensure quality continuum of care services, continuing education which supports clinical recruitment and retention, and collaborative community health and wellness outreach programming. Examples may include: Cardio/Pulmonary Rehabilitation Scholarships, Behavioral Health/Substance Use Disorders Recovery, Chronic Disease Management, and Patient Navigation.
